For this fortnights Mojo Monday sketch 512, I wanted to use some of the Petal Promenade papers but I have to say that I did struggle with choosing colours to go with it, with the colours that I had in my stash!
I used a square of the paper that creates a frame as it’s such lovely paper which has been photographed and then made into patterned paper.
I die cut a doily from the doily builder dies and added it to the middle of the frame paper and added some of the wink of stella glitter (althought you can’t really see it in the picture) and a share what you love pearl to the centre of the doily.
I did manage to get there in the end with the colours and went with some shaded spruce card and melon mambo card to mount on the card base.
They do pick out the colours in the petal promenade paper although it is quite bright card!
For the sentiment, I used the happy and the birthday from the tabs for everything stamp set and stamped them on a stitched oval with the tranquil tide ink. To add something else to the oval, I stamped out 2 hearts from the same stamp set in petal pink ink, cut them out and used some more of the wink of stella glitter.
I wasn’t 100% sure if I liked the card when I had finished and felt I wanted to add something else to the card but sometimes it’s better not to go over the top and better to keep some of the white space!
