H there!
When I saw the sketch for this weeks Freshly Made Sketch 380, it did take me a while to think of something other than a butterfly, star or heart but settled on using a doily.
I used the small doily from the Doily Builder dies and die cut them from two of the Twinkle Twinkle papers. I cut out 9 doilies, 4 navy and 5 pink and then just added a rhinestone to the centre of them.
For the sentiment, I used the Thank You from the Tropical Chic stamp set. I stamped it on to a stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits, which was die cut from mint macaron cardstock and used the gray granite ink.
I added some of the wooden leaves from the sale-a-bration butterfly elements to the side of the oval and added some wink of stella glitter on top of them.
I wasn’t sure on the card when I added the doilies and the sentiment but when I added the wooden leaves and the rhinestones, they brought the card together.
This is the sketch for this week:
Louise, those little doilies are so sweet! I love them in navy and pink- what a great color combo. Glad you thought the sketch through and joined us at Freshly Made Sketches. Your card turned out great!
I love your doily grid! Thanks for playing along with us at FMS this week!
All of those dainty little doilies are lovely together! I love the bit of sparkle in the center of each. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
