fusion card challenge – floral cupcakes

Hi there!
It’s been a while since I did a card challenge and so started off with the Fusion card challenge. You can play with the sketch, the photo or both. I decided to use the sketch but chose to use the subtle colours of the photos.

I chose to to use the floral image in the Stampin’ Up! Make a Difference stamp set and the small butterfly from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala stamp set.
As the sketch had small squares, I did some floral and some butterflies. The little squares from white cardstock which were mounted on slightly larger soft sea foam cardstock, to add some colour.
I stamped the images in black ink, coloured them in and also added some wink of stella glitter to make them sparkle. I mounted the butterflies on foam pads to add some dimension.
I rotated each of the floral squares so that they didn’t all look the same too!

For the sentiment, I stamped Happy Birthday from the Well Said stamp set on white cardstock using the Petal Pink ink and added some black stitching to the edges [although not straight!].
This is the sketch/picture we could use.

Thanks for visiting!
