Fusion card challenge – summer

Hi there!

For this fortnights Fusion Card Challenge, it was a sketch, a summer picture or you could use both. I thought I would use the sketch and also a bright, light summery theme, however, the card didn’t turn out this way!

I started off with the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set and although I used different green inks for the leaves in the card here, I decided to use some brighter colours this time. I went for Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape and Pear Pizzazz inks and also cut out some leaves from the Forever Greenery papers.

I was drawn to using the green paper from the Perennial Essence paper for the background as it has a velvet look to it and a strip of the pink linen effect paper from the Lily Impressions papers, to go in front of the bunch I had created with the branches.

For the sentiment, I chose the Thank you from the Clearly Besotted A Little Sentimental stamp set and stamped it on a die cut heart from the Clearly Besotted Tag Along die set and used some of the pink paper from the Perennial Essence papers.

To add some embellishments, I added some light pink ribbon to the pink strip and added some pearls in different colours.

As you can see, the colours are a lot darker than the picture in the challenge and also how I envisioned the card would look like but that’s OK, it’s just the process of making a card!

This is the latest challenge .

Thanks for visiting!
