Welcome! It’s been a while since I did much crafting and using the card challenges, so I decided to start off by trying this weeks Global Design Project sketch challenge.
After seeing the 4 panels on the sketch, I decided to create a sky scene with the clouds from the Above the Cloud stamp set. I used the Balmy Blue ink on the Balmy Blue card and cut the panel in to 4 pieces. Love how the clouds are not just a solid cloud so they add more dimension to the card.
I stamped lots of the little balloons in different sizes and styles and then coloured them in with the stampin write markers and cut them out. As hot air balloons are always sporadic across the sky, I just added some dimensionals to the balloons and randomly placed them on the 4 panels.
For the sentiment, I chose the ‘Let your dreams soar’ from the Above the Clouds stamp set too and stamped it on mango melody card. I went through my dies to find a die that I could add the sentiment to and came up with the circle from the Stitched Labels dies.
To finish the card, I added some of the bakers twine and wrapped it round the card a few times.
I like all the bold colours on the card and also how there aren’t too many elements going on, on the card but came together well.

This is the sketch I used.
Thanks for visiting, Louise.
