Just add ink sketch #517

H there! For this weeks Just Add Ink sketch #517, there was a diagonal line across the middle, which could make people think differently but from somewhere I had a plan and went with it!

My idea was to use plain card stock on the background and then patterned paper in front with an image in the centre. I looked through my card stock and went with the colour I had the most of, which was Stampin’ Up! Coastal Cabana card stock and cut it diagonally to create 2 pieces. Instead of using patterned paper, I decided to stamp some of the little ice creams and ice lollies from the Clearly Besotted Sweet Treats stamp set using Stampin’ Up! Gray Granite ink to make the images subtle and this rectangle was also cut diagonally.

For the main image and sentiment, I used the circle image with the phrase ‘a little treat for you’ on, stamped in Early Espresso and added an ice cream to the centre. I coloured it in with Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lipstick and Cinnamon Cider blends and added some Stickles glitter to make it sparkle!

To finish the card, I added some of the Wink of Stella glitter to the centre of the background images to add some subtle sparkle.

This is the Just Add Ink Sketch #517 for this week.

I do love a stamped background & your ice creams look very cute but lets your main image shine. Lovely take on the sketch. Thanks for playing along this week.
