While going through my designer series papers for this weeks Inspire.Create.Challenge 041, I came across the Petal Promenade Paper that I had bought recently but hadn’t really made much with.
In the pack is a lovely marble effect paper that has tones of grey, pink and beige.
Seeing this paper, made me get out the classic weave ribbon in crumb cake and decided to use this across the centre and then created a bow.
The position of the beige tones in the paper is very close to the bow too so helps blend them together.
For the sentiment, I used the “It’s your day!” from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamps set. I added to a stitched oval using the gray granite ink. This ink is a more of a beige grey ink so went well with the other colours in the card.
I also added some of the Needlepoint Nook mini buttons to the bottom of the card to balance off the card.
I decided to use the bow as the focus of the card rather than using an image to keep it simple and not too busy.
