When we bought a new bed for Hollie before Amelia was born, I knew we needed to get a bunk bed as there wasn’t a lot of room for a cot bed let alone 2 single beds. I wanted to get a white bunk bed as I thought it would make the room lighter and fresher.
When Amelia went into the lower single bed a month ago, she still used her cot bed duvet but for an early birthday present for the girls I decided to buy matching duvet covers.
This you would think would be quite easy but it proved quite a task. I think I am quite picky when it comes to duvet covers but I hadn’t realised that until I couldn’t find what I was looking for!
Eventually I found this lovely mint and white duvet cover and the colours went with the rest of the room and was clean and fresh looking so helped make the room look bigger too!
I have to say that I was looking forward to seeing the duvets on the beds, all matching, clean and new but it just made me realise how the girls are growing up fast and how there is no more cot in the house!
I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels that the kids are more than happy to move on but we as the adults are still trying to cling on to the baby/ toddler stages.
