Motto button

Thursday, June 30, 2011

Recently, while my health hasn't been very good, I have been thinking more and more about life and how I really need to appreciate what I have - my family, friends, home etc.

I decided to make a button to put on my blog to remind me and others of what matters.

I hope this doesn't sound like i am trying to tell anyone what to do, just to remember what's important in the times we are in.

I think it sums up things and so i decided to make it available to for others to put on their blog if they would like to.

Here is the code:

My May Sunshine

I have also put it in the button page at the top of the blog and hopefully will add some more to it soon.

Enjoy your day.

Happy Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day to all the the dads out there.

I wanted to show you the cards I made. The first one is for my daughter to give to my husband.
Paper - American Crafts  Tea Party collection
 Image stamp - Papermania's  It's a mans world
Sentiment - Paula Pascuals All Year Round

The paper is a one sheet underneath and then I cut out the stripes of a spare piece and put them on foam adhesive, on top of the other piece of paper, to stand out.
My husband is a big sports fan, especially cricket, so I know that I had to add this stamp too.

The other card I made was for my step-dad.
Paper -   orange paper and brown paper  - Making Memories just chillin boy
patterned paper - Basic Grey Max and Whiskers
               blue paper - Dovecraft
Twine - Ribbonreel
Buttons - American Crafts
Label - Nestabilities Label Four
Stamps - Banana Frog Tiny Alphabet
Brads - Papermania

Happy Birthday Debbie.

One of my sister in law's lives near the south coast with her family which is quite along way from where we live. She had been very helpful to me over the last few years and today is her birthday.

I decided to make her a little present and a card.

I recently bought the Nestabilities Label one die and the Martha Stewart double monarch butterfly punch and decided to use these on this card.

Paper - Crate papers Restoration collection.
ButterflyMartha Stewart Double monarch butterfly punch.
Flowers - EK Success punch.
Embossing folder - Cuttlebug Daisy.
Ribbon and rhinestones - Local craft shop.
Stamp - Clare Curd Sentiments.

For the present I chose to make some simple gift tags.

I just stamped a butterfly on 6 tags and a cake and candle on the other 6 tags with Versamagic brown ink and added some hemp twine .

Butterfly stamp - American Crafts 'Enjoy'.
Cake and candle stamp - American Crafts 'Birthday Large'.

I also made some decorated pegs that could be used to keep paperwork, school info etc together.

Paper - Basic grey 'Lemonade' Collection.
Butterfly - Martha Stewart Double Monarch butterfly punch.
Button - Local craft shop.
Twine - Ribbonreel.

The last thing I made was a decorated post it note pad.

I stuck two piece of patterned paper together so the inside had some colour, added the elastic and brad so that it can stay closed and stamped the circle stamp on the white card and then stamped the D inside.

Paper - Papermania 'birdsong' colleciton.
Stamps - Personal Impressions Paula Pascual 'Circle Tags' and Habico Uppercase Alphabet.
Punches - Woodware.
